Lummus Park
The boardwalk park between Ocean Drive and the beach. Best at six in the morning or six in the evening.
Art deco, ocean breeze, and walk-in dispensaries on Collins. Late hours, beach-adjacent, and built for the visitor as much as the local.
South Beach is the slice of Miami most visitors meet first — art deco hotels on Ocean Drive, the boardwalk above Lummus Park, and a five-block stretch of Collins between 11th and 16th that does most of the local commerce. There are six licensed dispensaries on the island; most cluster around mid-Collins.
The pace is built for visitors. Walk-ins all day, late hours, knowledgeable bilingual staff. Several shops run hotel concierge programs with the larger properties on the strip — call ahead, they'll have your order ready. Florida craft brand Sunburn Cannabis — founded by Brady Cobb and known for design-forward retail and premium positioning — operates a Miami Beach flagship among its Florida-wide locations.
Park strategy: street parking is essentially impossible, but the Anchor Garage at 16th and Collins is reasonable and ten minutes' walk from anywhere south on the strip. Or just take an Uber. If you don't have a Florida medical card yet, our 60-second eligibility check will route you to a same-day telehealth doctor.
